Day Moisturiser with SPF

Recently I have been trying to really take care of my skin, so I wanted to find a day moisturiser which had an SPF in. Even though the sun doesn’t make much of an appearance these days, we do occasionally get the sun the odd day in the UK, so I suppose it’s good to be prepared (UV rays can also penetrate through clouds, so be careful on cloudy days too).

Here was my problem though; I have very oily skin and wanted a moisturiser that suited my skin type, wouldn’t leave me shiny through the day and had a good SPF in. I found finding my perfect moisturiser a nightmare! I searched blogs, online shops, the lot. I could either find moisturisers for oily skin or moisturisers with SPF, not both together. So frustrating.

However, I did find one by the Boots No7 brand, I found they had a range of moisturisers for different skin types and the day ones contained SPF, happy days! I went straight out and bought one.

I like this moisturiser, I find it doesn’t leave me any oilier than not using one. It doesn’t mattify my face, but that’s something I can live with if I know my skin is protected from harmful rays. It has a really nice scent, it’s light and doesn’t feel heavy on my skin and it sinks in quickly (good for those ‘in a rush’ days).

This is a really good moisturiser to try if you are in the same predicament as I was in or you have oily skin and just want to try a new moisturiser. The No7 brand have a whole host of products to match different skin types too, so definitely check them out.

What’s your favourite moisturiser?

Halloween Nails

Okay, so I know Halloween was yesterday but for people who are celebrating it over the weekend (i.e. going to clubs) this is a really quick nail art idea for you.

You will need:
A white nail polish
A red nail polish
A sponge

1. The first thing I did was rip a sponge in half. Using the ripped side will give the effect of the splattered blood, which we want.
2. Paint the whole nail with the white nail polish, I used 3 coats to get a really opaque finish. Let the nails dry completely.
3. Paint about half a cm of the sponge with the red polish (preferably the tip so you have more control over the sponge). Then just dab the sponge onto the tip of the nail.

That's it!

I didn't even use a top coat because I was in a rush, but feel free to do that step if you wish.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween, I know I did!
