Candy Nails

I was feeling creative yesterday so decided to think outside the box and paint my nails a bit different. They reminded me of candy floss and I just think they're a nice way to brighten up these rainy days.

The first thing I did was paint the entire nail with one coat of Fiji by Essie, then apply two more coats to the left side of the nail (or right side, which ever you prefer). The one coat over the entire nail gives a nice base/primer for any other colours I use.

I then painted the other side of the nail in Sinful Colour's 24/7.

I finished the nails by putting a stripe of glitter down the centre, I used a H&M polish in Jo Is In The House, and then applied a clear topcoat.

I thought they were pretty easy to do, so if you're in a creative mood give this look a go and let me know how yours turned out.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Can you tell me in which boots you found the sinful colors nail polish?
I'm an Erasmusstudent studying in Liverpool 'till the end of January, so I'm following your blog hoping to get to know some typical English brands of beauty and make-up products. And you maybe also have some tips on what I definitely should do/see/visit? Since you are a local girl your tips will be much better then the tourist information because you will know all the hidden treasures :D
And what clothing shops and clothing brands are also worthwhile? What are brands cheaper to buy here in the uk? :-)

  2. I love this look! I'm so terrible at painting my own nails, so I'm always amazed when people are able to do more than just one colour! They look lovely!

    1. Thankyou hun! You could always use a bit of tape to get the straight line if you haven't got a steady hand too. Thanks for reading xx
